Story: Up on the Roof starts when mild-mannered café owner Stephan (Adamczyk) bumps into his ex-girlfriend Emily (Tena). Emily has just returned from her latest missionary job, looking to catch up with her family and friends.

When the two start catching up on things that have happened over the years. They start wondering what might have happened in their lives before they went their separate ways.

Verdict on Up on the Roof

Up on the Roof is a romantic comedy following two former lovers that have seen their lives go in different directions. They get to reconnect after years apart and look to catch up, only to learn things haven’t gone in the same direction they planned for.

This is a realistic romantic comedy, showing us how life can see things going in different directions. Relationships don’t always work out due to a different number of reasons and this one shows how a second chance could change things. It gets to show us how reflective moods can hold people back in life and not taking chances in life can haunt us.

Piotr Adamczyk and Natalia Tena are both wonderful in the leading roles. The supporting cast is enjoyable to watch. This ends up being a delightful romantic comedy that helps us get enjoyment out of the highs and lows in life. If you add in the wonderful soundtrack you get a feel-good rom-com.
