John turns to the few friends he can trust as another endless number of enemies hunting him down. This includes one of his best friends Caine (Yen) who is forced to help to clear his own debt. Can John beat the odds once again to make it out of The High Table’s control and live a quiet life?

Verdict on John Wick Chapter 4

John Wick Chapter 4 continues the battles of Mr Wick against the High Table. This time he finds himself up against a man who has control over everything in order to stop him. John must turn to the people he trusts the most to escape this world before it is too late.

When it comes to world-building, we continue to see how this creation continues to grow. The endless number of assassins around most major cities is getting a little bit over the top, but we are committed now. This does a great job of showing loyalty in the world and how it can be tested.

The new characters Caine, Tracker and Marquis are all excellent to follow. They show us the grey area in the world and how desperate people can be to escape it. The new cast members Donnie Yen, Bill Skarsgård and Shamier Anderson step into the world effortlessly. On the other hand, the returning cast members are always brilliant.

When it comes to the action sequences, we can only praise the stunt team for their amazing efforts. The sequence at the Arc de Triomphe is breath-taking action, and it continues for what felt like a near 45 minutes long sequence. It felt never-ending and never got boring, it is unbelievable to watch.

Final Thoughts John Wick Chapter 4 is an unbelievably action-packed movie.

  1. My wife had the cast on her show today and they not only discussed the incredible action sequences but also the heart that infuses the relationships of the story: new characters, bonds between friends, protecting your family – it was sadly filmed shortly before Lance Reddick died – a tragedy as he was a gentle soul – the cast discussed their friendships while making the film and the joy they had working on it…we loved the movie!
