Suzume is a fantasy adventure movie following a teenager who gets caught up in a battle she had no idea happened. She must travel across Japan to prevent disasters and learn about her past.

The Drift around, educating the daughter in his own way. When Nola is alone, we get to see a different learning curve for her. Plot: Two best friends set out on an adventure, but it soon turns around to a terrifying escape from being hunted by the police, as these two girls escape for the crimes they committed.

Runtime: 2 Hours 10 Minutes

There may be spoilers in the rest of the review

As the pair start their journey, they have an altercation with a stranger who tries to rape Thelma, leading to Louise killing him. This sends the two on the run with detective Hal (Keitel) trying to get to the bottom of what has been going on.

Verdict on Thelma & Louise

Thelma & Louise is an adventure movie following two best friends whose trip away takes a dramatic turn. This will see them going on the run from the law to escape the lives they have gotten tired of.

It is one of the most iconic movies of all time, with motivation for people to escape their lives that are going nowhere. This has great friendship chemistry between Susan Sarandon and Geena Davis, giving them both an Oscar nomination for their work.

The story is kept simple with the women on the run after only one crime that for some reason has a state crossing manhunt for them. This does feel like too much from the police despite the officer leading the investigation, only wanting to hear the story. In the end, this is one of the best movies of an era, that gives so much to the movement away from trapped lives.

Final Thoughts – Thelma & Louise is a classic on every level.

Casey reluctantly agrees to let Emily keep Clifford for one night, only for him to grow to a massive size. Clifford gets released in New York city drawing the attention of seedy scientist Tieran (Hale). He wants Clifford for his research, wanting to use him for his profit.

Thoughts on Clifford the Big Red Dog

Clifford the Big Red Dog is a family-friendly adventure movie. The story brings us the tale of wishes that can change lives. Showing how a wish brings to life a giant size dog, one that will be harmlessly run around New York. It is a dog that will bring together the neighbourhood and give a little girl happiness. Something she doesn’t have in everyday life.

This is based on an animated show, bringing the harmless dog to life. This is like many of the live-action animated shows like Scooby-Doo and Garfield. The animal never feels connected, despite the heart of the character being strong.

There is plenty of heart in this movie, the message about being treated equally. Finding love in animals and learning to fit into a bigger crowd. The performances are fun, Darby Camp shines, while Jack Whitehall brings the fast-paced laughs. Tony Hale as the villainous scientist is delightfully over the top.

Final Thoughts – Clifford the Big Red Dog is a fun family film, with heart and laughs along the way.

Ben goes in search of the truth about his Great-Grandfather after it starts tearing up his father Patrick (Voight). He reluctantly works with Abigail (Kruger) and his best friend Riley (Bartha) in another series of clues to solve a moment in history.

Verdict on National Treasure: Book of Secrets

National Treasure: Book of Secrets is the second chapter in the Benjamin Gates adventures. This time Ben wants to clear his family name which has been thrown into ruin after a document reveals this ancestor’s involvement in the Lincoln assassination.

The adventure treasure hunting side of the movie is great fun, keeping up with the original in the series. The ability to mix a treasure hunt and conspiracy theories adds to the entertainment movie. For an adventure movie that has something for everyone.

Nicolas Cage as Ben Gates is wonderful to watch as Ben Gates. Justin Bartha gets the funny moments to lighten up the scenes in the movie. Ed Harris makes the villain stand out without being too cheesy in his role. The supporting cast is great too, giving an all-around strong series of performances from everyone involved.

It will show us that a sport can be competed with anyone who is determined to fight for the right reasons. Jim decides to go in search of answers himself, which will see him team up with Gola (Ore), who knows more than Jim. Helping guide Jim search for the item which has a connection to her people’s history.

Thoughts on Legend of Oro Arrowhead

Legend of Oro Arrowhead is an adventure thriller following a man returning home after his father’s death. Only to find himself getting caught up in mystery that he was trying to solve. Finding himself need to fight back against somebody else hunting for the same treasure.

When it comes to the story we are seeing here, we get the typical treasure hunt. Where a rich person is trying to get it for their own profit. While the new hunter is willing to do it for the right reason, to celebrate the history of the people behind it. This story does everything it needs to for a small treasure hunt, but never reaches the intensity of what we would expect.

The performances in the film are strong enough, but never reach the top levels you would expect in an adventure movie. This does feel more like a beginning of a bigger idea, where we could return to see the characters in more adventures.
