We get to see the superstardom Freddy Krueger gave Robert. While it would make him a household name, it came at a cost. We get to explore dealing with only being known for one role and what made it difficult to take other roles. All before we see the post-Fredy era of his career.
Being a massive Robert Englund fan, it is fascinating to learn more about the stories behind his work. While we get plenty of information about roles outside of Freddy, we end up getting more from the movies outside of the franchise. Cannot wait to see this! It’s true that having an iconic role can hinder your effort to act in other types of films: note William Shatner post Star Trek TV show and Adam West same with Batman TV show…the fear from companies that you are too known for only one thing…sad because it happens all the time and so get to see how he has survived! Terrific review as always
Thank you, hope you enjoy.
I always remember the day i met him at my local film and comic con. Amanda Wyess signed a photo reading ‘Hey Darren did you have a nightmare too? then I got Robert to sign it reading ‘Darren You’re Next After This Bitch’
