Plot: Destiny Young meets and falls in love with Corey Fleming. After marriage, Corey’s egotistical behaviour shatters her hopes, dreams and aspirations. The woman who was once full of life is now broken.

Story: Under His Control starts when Destiny Young (Sutton) looks to find a better home for her twins. This sees her meeting landlord Corey Fleming (Dumas) and a dream home. It doesn’t take long before Corey looks to win Destiny’s heart.
When the two decide to get married, the early signs of Corey’s abuse start coming through. Destiny finds herself being put through a string of abusive behaviour. Where turning to anyone for help becomes more difficult for her.
Verdict on Under His Control
Under His Control is a drama showing the years of abuse one woman suffered from a man controlling her. It shows how she saw something good in him and despite years of abuse, she keeps coming back to him.
This is based on a true story and shows how easily someone can become trapped in a relationship. It shows how easily he looks to control her and makes her feel little. Despite this, it can become difficult to see the way her own children are treated. This shows us just how horrendous the behaviour is and how someone can become trapped in this world. It can have moments that are difficult to watch.
Final Thoughts – Under His Control is a difficult watch, touching on a sensitive subject.
