The Serpent’s Skin offers a unique horror romance with trans representation, exploring supernatural themes and a twisted narrative.

First Reaction – The Serpent’s Skin has a brilliant concept with a devilish twist.

Director: Alice Maio Mackay

Writer: Alice Maio Mackay, Benjamin Pahl Robinson (Screenplay)

Cast

Plot: After escaping her transphobic hometown, Anna meets goth tattoo artist Gen. They bond over shared supernatural abilities, but Gen’s tattoo work accidentally conjures a demon before their romance can bloom.

Runtime: 1 Hour 23 Minutes

Alice Maio Mackay’s The Serpent’s Skin gives us a twisted journey into a horror nightmare. It uses a fantastic idea to create the threat and doesn’t shy away from inclusion characters in an everyday story. Another great addition to their category of horror tales promoting trans characters, stories and stars.
