The Legacy of the 81-Point Game is a documentary that meets the players and coaches that worked with Kobe Bryant. It shows how much hard work Kobe put in behind the scenes despite not being seen as the most gifted player. This shows us how Kobe was able to turn a game with his skills and inspiration toward his teammates.
In one game the LA Lakers play the Toronto Raptors. Kobe having seen how much they were pushed in the match before turning up to make a point. He put in one of the greatest all-time individual points-scoring performances in NBA history hitting 81 points. This was the second highest-scoring game in history, with only 1962’s legend Will Chamberlain scoring higher. In the modern game, Donovan Mitchell just hit a 71-point game, being the highest-scoring player since Kobe’s achievement.
This documentary gets to explore the legacy of this match as well as how much Kobe Bryant meant to the next generation of athletes. Everything is looking back at this moment in the aftermath of his untimely death.
