Verdict on Shiver Me Timbers
Recap
The movie follows a group of friends having a camping trip. However, a meteor shower turns a local man into a killing machine. The friends must figure out how to survive the killer before he kills them all.
Best Parts
This is a fun slasher in the true 80s style. It uses the blood splatter to give us pure chaos on the spree. If you want to see a horror slasher that doesn’t hold back, this is chaotic, wild and everything you would expect. There is also a massive, ambitious idea for the final showdown.
Worst Parts
The movie struggles to escape the poor CGI effects, where some sequences look like video games, and it completely takes you out of the film. It also struggles to make characters feel connected at times, with the characters designed to be overly generic.
Final Thoughts – Shiver Me Timbers is a purely chaotic, wildly entertaining and bonkers horror.
