Story: Everybody Dies by the End starts as Calvin (Tripp) starts making a documentary following cult horror director Alfred Costella (Curran). As the product continues Alfred starts pushing things to the limits, testing the stars of the movie.
Alfred continues to show his commitment to a practical masterpiece. Which shows the extremes he will go through to make the perfect movie.

Characters
Alfred Costella is a horror director that has built a reputation for his cult classic demands pushing things too far in his production. This has seen his reputation questioned, as he looks to make a final movie to leave the world.
Calvin is a documentary filmmaker that is shooting a behind-the-scenes documentary about the making of the final film. He sees this as an amazing opportunity to work with a respected director. Calvin starts seeing the lengths Alfred goes to get the perfect shot, becoming uncomfortable about what he is going to be seeing.
In the supporting characters, we get the cast and crew of the movie. They show us how committed they are to helping Alfred with his movie.
Performances
Vinny Curran brings to life the unstable director who mixes his character’s unhinged minds after a breakdown. He is genuinely creepy and uncomfortable to watch throughout the film. Ian Tripp is the next biggest performer in the movie and is behind the camera, giving us more reactions to what he is seeing. Elsewhere, the rest of the supporting cast adapt to film roles within the film production well.
Story
The story follows a documentary filmmaker who gets to shoot behind-the-scenes footage of a cult director’s last movie. This starts of smoothly as an amazing opportunity before he starts feeling uncomfortable about certain decisions.
Here we have a movie about making a movie which has a dark twist to it. It does make us feel like we are watching ‘Creep’ as Alfred Costella feels very unhinged with his decisions in the movie-making process. One of the problems with the movie is that it never feels like the movie being made is a story. Which seems to be the point of why certain decisions are being made.
The story also wants to use the new obsession with seeing the violence in the world. Modern audiences did not always want to look away from the brutality of it all.
Themes
Everybody Dies by the End is a horror-found footage movie that follows a documentary filmmaker filming the production of a new horror movie. It uses the motivation for the found footage very well because first, the director wants a big break. Second, there is a reason to keep filming. The movie wants to realise ideas of blood and gore, getting some shock moments when needed.
Final Thoughts – Everybody Dies by the End is an uncomfortable watch, which ends up feeling like a weaker version of Creep.
