Story: A Good Person starts when Allison (Pugh) and her fiancée Nathan (Uche) are preparing for the next stage of their lives. However, their lives are going to change forever when Allison is involved in an accident that kills Nathan’s sister and her husband.
One year later, Allison has struggled to recover from what happened, while her mother Diane (Shannon) is losing patients. Elsewhere, Ryan (O’Connor) hasn’t recovered yet. Her grandfather Daniel (Freeman) is struggling to help Ryan stay on track in high school. With all the lives shattered, a chance meeting gives Allison and Daniel a second chance as they help guide Ryan to understand life.
Verdict on A Good Person
A Good Person is a drama following the grief suffered by everyone involved in an accident. We follow the driver whose mistake caused the accident, the daughter who is orphaned and the father who lost his daughter. As the paths cross, they look to start their own recovery process that has seen them in need of help.
This is a drama that gets to address the problems that would affect so many people after a life-changing error. It shows how lives have been shattered and addictions are taking over. We get to follow the recovery process. The performances are strong as you would expect from Florence Pugh and Morgan Freeman. This ends up giving out a warning to life and showing how people must live with consequences.
Final Thoughts –A Good Person is a great drama about dealing with consequences.
