Story: Nine Bullets starts with burlesque dancer Gypsy (Headey) finds herself left to look after her neighbour’s son Sam (Vazquez). After his parents ended up on the wrong side of the wrong man. Jack (Worthington) a crime boss in the area.
When Gypsy looks to go on the run, she must find a way to stay ahead of Jack and his men. Or she will be facing a deadly enemy, as she looks to overcome her past.

Characters & Performances
Gypsy is a burlesque dancer who has been working on her novel as her escape from this life. One that is getting close to being complete. This quiet escape is taken away from her. She must protect the young neighbour boy from a criminal boss and former lover of hers. Who has already killed his family. She must use all her experience of dealing with difficult clients to get away from the men hunting them down.
Sam is the young boy that has seen his parent murdered in front of him. Having nowhere to turn until Gypsy offers to find him a safe place to stay. Jack is the crime boss that is looking to get his money back, he is demanding it and will kill anyone who crosses him. Sending his men to track down Gypsy and Sam.
Lena Headey is great in the leading role of this movie, showing the emotional impact of her life. Along with the reluctant side of her character. Dean Scott Vazquez is good in the young role. It is the supporting cast that don’t make the impact they would like too.
Story
The story here will follow a burlesque dancer who needs to help a young boy find safety after a criminal boss kills his family. Searching for what he has, leading to a journey across America for safety. This story will look to show the pain somebody has been through in life. The journey people are making to escape the lives they currently have.
The story does feel generic, with how everything unfolds, with each stop uncovering a bigger truth between the two. As they start to bond, while the killers do the typical turn up and want to cause problems.
Themes – Nine Bullets is an action crime thriller that will follow the journey to escape the criminals hunting down an unlikely couple of a neighbour and young boy who are on the run to a safer life. It will take us across the America, which works to show the different connections made through the years.
