Mancunian Man is a documentary following the career of Cliff Twemlow. It shows how he was a self-made man, taking part in a host of different ideas. These include being an extra, making music, while remaining a humble bouncer to balance the books.
However, it was his connection to movies that made him the most famous. He went on to take advantage of the new video market, by filming on VHS and taking guerrilla filmmaking to a new level. His career is filled with legendary stories that feel like you could have seen them in movies.
The movie gets to follow the different people who worked with him to make the next movie. It shows how he could get the best out of everyone around him, as well as joining in every part of the workload. However, despite being such a cult favourite, there are plenty of challenges he had to overcome.
This documentary gets to explore the life of Cliff Twemlow and shows the legacy he left on the film world. You will learn a lot about him and is filled with fascinating interviews.
