Plot: When a new stepmom’s troubled eight-year-old girl befriends a boy that lives in the shadows, the family learns why things that live in the dark don’t want be seen.

Story: The Other People starts when William (Johnson) and his daughter Abby (Lucido) move to a new home to start a new life. William quickly falls in love with Rachel (Greenwood) and the three begin a new family. However, Abby gets a new imaginary friend who begins to take control of the family’s life.
When William goes away for a business conference strange things happen around the home. Rachel believes that Abby is in danger and her imaginary friend gets closer to the family.

Best Parts
The movie delivers one of the most disturbing sequences any horror movie has delivered in years. It will leave you shocked and disturbed by what happens. Elsewhere, the creepy feeling throughout the movie is a lingering nightmare. Meanwhile, the performances are great from the whole cast too. Overall, this creates one of the most surprising disturbing and shocking movies of the year.
Worst Parts
The movie takes a little bit of time to get going and dealing with some of the adult problems can get in the way of the scary moments.
