Verdict on Noseeums
Recap
The movie follows a group of friends going on a spring break at a remote home. However, the holiday turns into a nightmare when one of them learns more about the past of the property and tackling more racial behaviour around them.
Best Parts
The scary moments are disturbing and watching the history come to life elevate the story. We get strong performances from the cast, who deal with social and racial problems. There is a bigger conversation about racial discussions and seeing people differently without using the aggressive language, a lot like what we saw in Get Out.
Worst Parts
The friendship group is extremely questionable in the first place. It never feels like any of these people are close to each other with how they treat each other. Elsewhere, some of the effects are not the best when it comes to what is being used for them.
Final Thoughts – Noseeums is a disturbing, racial driven horror.
