Plot: In a remote village, two brothers find a demon-infected man just about to give birth to evil itself. They decide to get rid of the man but merely succeed in helping him to deliver the inferno.

Story: When Evil Lurks starts when brothers Pedro (Rodriguez) and Jimmy (Salomon) discover served remains in the woods. They learn of a much more disturbing reality in the local area, as a neighbour has been harbouring a rotting human with a demon inside.
Once they turn to local police, they look to remove the body from their community. However, after a freak accident, the body vanishes. It isn’t long before the community finds itself coming under attack from demonic attacks and now the brothers must look to stop it.
Verdict on When Evil Lurks
When Evil Lurks is a horror movie following two brothers who look to help their community deal with an unwanted threat. However, their attempts only end up unleashing something much more dangerous and now they must save the local community before it is too late.
This is a darkly disturbing viral outbreak movie. It uses a different reason for things to spread, leading to the community committing horrendous acts. The best way to describe this would be ‘The Crazies’. However, this does enough to make it a stand-alone movie with deeper themes to what is unfolding. There are some shocking sequences, which can take over the story at times. If you want to see a disturbing and shocking movie, this is the one for you.
