Story: Trigger Warning starts when special forces commando Parker (Alba) returns home after her father Harry (De Hoyos) dies. She isn’t convinced it was suicide and returns to investigate. However, when she returns home, she learns about a group of trigger-happy gang members.

Parker turns to the few friends she has left in the town Mike (Basso) and Sheriff Jesse (Webber) for help. However, Elvis (Weary) the son of Senator Swann (Hall) has created a toxic environment of drugs and guns. Parker decides to take on the gang head-on, clear up her hometown and reopen her father’s bar.

Trigger Warning is an action thriller following a special forces commando who is investigating her father’s death. She uncovers a ruthless illegal operation and decides she is going to clean up her hometown. Even if it means fighting against people, she once called friends.

This movie uses the idea of a military hero fighting back against a big gang. It is one of the simplest designs in action movies and works perfectly well for the movie. That doesn’t mean it isn’t entertaining and Jessica Alba is great in the leading role. It feels like a typical late-night action movie, where you can have a good time watching without seeing too much new.

Trigger Warning is available on Netflix now.

Final Thoughts – Trigger Warning is an entertaining late-night action movie.
