Plot: An aging hypnotist creates a device that allows the user to control the mind of another person, but his wife abuses its power by manipulating a younger man to commit evil acts.

Story: The Sorcerers starts when an ageing great hypnotist Marcus Monserrat (Karloff) and his wife Estelle look for their next subject. They find Mike Roscoe (Ogilvy) a young man and manage to get into his mind. Marcus and Estelle start managing Mike’s life, once they learn they can feel what he does.
However, this leads to them pushing things to new limits as Marcus starts enjoying taking over his mind. On the other hand, Mike doesn’t even realize what he is doing when under their control.
Verdict on The Sorcerers
The Sorcerers is a horror thriller following a couple of hypnotists that use a young man to relive their younger feelings. However, when they start clashing on what they want him to do, it comes a battle between the two for control of the young mind.
This is an interesting concept that uses the idea of the dark twisted concept of mind control. It gets to dive deeper into people’s worst fantasies as things spiral out of control. This continues to show the darkest of ideas while friends try to figure out what has changed in the person. It keeps things disturbing throughout as we are left to see what they get up to next.
Final Thoughts –The Sorcerers is a disturbing horror thriller.
