Story: The Shadow Strays starts when skilled assassin 13 (Ribero) sees her latest job turn sour. She wants to rethink her position in the criminal underworld and ends up meeting her young neighbour Monji. He has a connection to a deadly underground organisation and decides to help him escape their clutches. However, her action triggers a series of events that put her future in danger.

13 finds herself drawn back into the criminal underworld, where she is forced to use her skills. She is left wondering is it worth it, but it ends up showing a far deadlier side to her, one her bosses never saw her capably of.

The Shadow Strays is an action thriller following a skilled assassin trying to escape that life. She finds herself drawn back in as she tries to protect a young boy and faces off against the people who made her.

Prepare for Timo Tjahjanto’s latest ultra-violent action movie, which creates outstanding brutal action sequences. The core story is similar to what we know from the reluctant assassin story. This is going to keep the action junkies happy as once it starts, it barely gives you a chance to breathe. It is brutal, bonkers and barbaric at times.

The Shadow Strays is available on Netflix now.

Final ThoughtsThe Shadow Strays is an onslaught of an action movie.
