Verdict on The Reaper Man

The Reaper Man is a horror thriller following a grieving widow who gets an unlikely friend from beyond the grave. A dark spirit that has returned to get revenge on the people that took him from this Earth and left his wife alone.

This movie is getting described in a similar discussion as ‘Candyman’ and you can see why. It does give us a vengeful spirit in the same way and a creepy voice and presence from the figure. However, it never manages to get close to the horror elements that the movie brings to the table. Though, the revenge elements are good and show that people could face consequences from beyond the grave.

Kenon Walker does make for a creepy figure in the film, while Harlee Lowder shows the grieving figure off well. Outside of the lead two performances, everything is solid without too much going on with their characters.

Final Thoughts The Reaper Man is an entertaining horror with moments of suspense.
