Verdict on The Mother

The Mother is an action thriller following an assassin drawn out of hiding to locate the daughter she gave up. This sees her going back into a life she used to be a part of and confronting the people she used to work for. All to make sure her daughter is safely returned to her new life.

This movie gets to show us a stone-cold killer that finds herself needing to come out of hiding to rescue her daughter. We have seen this type of movie many times before and on the pure action side of things is it excellent. However, it does fall into some trouble by the lack of a name given to the main character.  Along with Zoe not listening to basic instructions.

Jennifer Lopez is excellent in the leading role along with a strong supporting cast. The fact the movie goes in a direction you wouldn’t have expected helps give some flavour of originality to the movie.

Where to Watch: The Mother is available on Netflix now.

Final Thoughts The Mother is Jennifer Lopez kicking all the ass.
