Story: The Inhabitant starts as we meet teenager Tara (A’zion) who babysits for a local family. She is a normal teenager with college problems to focus on. Her parents Emily (Bibb) and Ben (Mulroney) let her be a free spirit, but she starts having uncomfortable visions.
Tara finds herself struggling while her mother would like her to get some professional help believing it could be the family history. However, Tara finds herself getting visited by Lizzie Borden, as the curse looks to find a new host.
Verdict on The Inhabitant
The Inhabitant is a horror thriller following a teenager that finds herself being caught up in the family curse. She starts by having nightmares before they start getting more prominent. However, when people start disappearing, the worry is the curse has passed onto her.
This is a movie that looks to focus on a tragic event and turn it into a supernatural connection. It is a sensitive subject to get involved in and we have seen insensitive versions of this idea in the past. Sadly, this ends up following that trend, by relying on everything going on. There are some positives though, they come in the scares, which bring us a disturbing series of interactions between the spirit and Tara. While some of the reactions show they could know more about everything going on.

Final Thoughts – The Inhabitant is another lacklustre horror based on the legacy of a real tragedy.
