Recap
The movie follows Jill and the Hicks children preparing their season finale. However, the father hasn’t turned up for the show, leading them to create a new show on the fly. It reflects the changes they have been going through as the show begins taking a toll on their lives.
Best Parts
The movie reflects the strain of being involved in a family that is working on a television show. It highlights the desire to have something of their own and the commitment to stay on the show. The short creates good performances and keeps us wanting to see more. We could easily return to this world to learn more about this world.
Worst Parts
It struggles with only being a short, as it feels more like a trailer for a much bigger story with plenty more to offer.
