Story: The Elixir begins when a dysfunctional family tries a new, innovative medicine. They hope it can breathe new life into their family business, but it comes with unexpected consequences. The side effects trigger a zombie outbreak, and the family is forced to put their differences aside to clean up the mess they created.

It becomes a race against time to find safety as the spread has taken over the local area. However, their true colour begins to take over as they must find the best way to escape the situation.

Recap

The movie follows a family business specialising in herbal medicine as they try a new product. However, it turns people into zombies, and they must find a way to escape before they get attacked. It is a race against time for the best chance to escape.

Best Parts

The new origin for the zombie outbreak is interesting and offers a fresh reason for the spread. It is a chaotic outbreak situation, which reflects on everything happening. The environment is also great, as it keeps the open isolated locations the prime targets.

Worst Parts

The character decision-making is hilarious for all the wrong reasons. They have learnt the dangers and still decide to act naively when in danger. This includes making noises and driving without looking. When it comes to the attacks, they feel a bit too repetitive.

Final ThoughtsThe Elixir is a chaotic, brutal zombie movie.
