Plot: Austria in the 18th century. Forests surround villages. Killing a baby gets a woman sentenced to death. Agnes readies for married life with her beloved. But her mind and heart grow heavy. A gloomy path alone, evil thoughts arising.

Story: The Devil’s Bath starts as Agnes (Plaschg) is preparing for her glorious wedding day. It sees the whole town join the celebrations as the traditional wedding to Wolf (Scheid) unfolds. However, once married Agnes starts to feel gloomy and discovers a sight of an executed woman.
Agnes continues to struggle with her new life and starts acting differently. It leads to her connecting with the symbol of a baby and the residents of the area trying to save her from an evil spirit.

The Devil’s Bath is a horror mystery following a woman who finds married life difficult. It follows her daily routine in 18th-century Austria and the darker path she starts heading down.
This movie dives into more folklore horror, as it shows the nightmares people struggle through to survive. It takes us down a strange path, which leaves us watching one woman’s drift from reality. There are uncomfortable scenes, which play into the deeper darker events going on. It sizzles along with tension, that leaves us disturbed by the journey.
