Plot: In this ferocious sequel to the worldwide horror hit THE DEAD, an infectious epidemic spreads through India as an American turbine engineer learns that his pregnant girlfriend is trapped near the slums of Mumbai. Now he must battle his way across a 300-mile wasteland of the ravenous undead.

Verdict: Good Sequel

Story: The Dead 2: India starts by taking us right into the action in India as it starts with just one man with a bite before a horde hits this small village. We roll over to meet our leading man American Nicholas (Millson) who works on wind turbines who has been involved with a local woman Ishani (Mishra) whoo has only just found out she is pregnant who is in the big city. Only a couple more weeks and the couple can run away back to America but the city Ishani lives is being over run by chaos.

Both sides of the couple end up coming in contact with zombies where Nicholas has to over come the odds on his adventure and get to Ishani, he does receive help from orphan boy Javed (Goyal) who guides the way with his knowledge of India.

The Dead 2: India is a sequel which doesn’t actually have anything to do with the original but continues the idea of having a zombie outbreak in a different location than we are used. Having the slow zombies works for the story because it is what we needed to continue the story making the travelling across the country interesting. I do feel this is one of the better zombie films we have been given because it does have a sense of adventure to it. (7/10)

Actor Review

Joseph Millson: Nicholas Burton is the American who works on the wind turbines in India, he is in a relationship with Ishani even though it is forbidden by her father, but when he finds out she is pregnant at the same time a zombie outbreak happens he must travel across India to save her. He also has help from Javed a child he saved on his quest to save his beloved. Joseph gives a good performance in the leading role showing he could be a good action star leading man. (7/10)

Meena Mishra: Ishani Sharma is the love interest of Nicholas who has become pregnant but against her father’ wishes. She has to wait with her family to be saved by Nicholas. Meena does well in the supporting role but doesn’t really get enough screen time. (5/10)

Anand Krishna Goyal: Javed is the India orphan that Nicholas saves, who ends up going on the adventure across India bonding with Nicholas while being the guide. Anand does a good job in a supporting role making for a good sidekick. (7/10)

Support Cast: The Dead 2: India has a supporting cast that are mainly end up being picked off along the journey, along with Ishani family.

Director Review: Howard J Ford, Jonathan Ford – The pair do know how to make a fresh zombie film in location that haven’t been used before. (7/10)

Horror: The Dead 2: India puts us in a zombie outbreak but unlike most zombie films it doesn’t end up making us feel trapped through the situation. (7/10)

Settings: The Dead 2: India brings a zombie film to India a first for all my time watching zombie films. (9/10)
Special Effects: The Dead 2: India doesn’t go into too much details when it comes to special effects uses practical zombie kills as the main part. (8/10)

Suggestion: The Dead 2: India is one for the zombie fans to watch I feel it does offer something new but can go at a slow pace at time. (Zombie Fans Watch)

Best Part: The India setting.

Worst Part: Does have a couple of slow moments.
