Story: Mea Culpa starts when defence attorney Mea Harper (Rowland) sees her marriage to Cal (Sagar) struggling. Her mother-in-law Azalia (O’Malley) has never liked her and tries to hold up her career. When her brother-in-law is trying to prosecute an artist Zyair Malloy (Rhodes), he approaches Mea for legal defence.

Zyair has been accused of murdering his girlfriend and the media has already decided he is guilty. However, Mea takes the case in an attempt to make partner and believes he could be innocent. But what she thinks isn’t going to help in a courtroom, when it is more about what she can prove. All while getting led by temptation that goes against everything she normally believes.

Mea Culpa is a thriller following a defence lawyer taking a murder case that which the public has already decided he is guilty. However, her personal life becomes complicated, and the suspect gives her a new lease of life. Can she clear his name before her marriage falls apart?

This is a movie that could have been an interesting trial movie but turns into a forbidden romance story. It drags down an interesting idea to being plain and uninspiring. This proves that relationships are hard to maintain in a busy career life. However, most of the spark falls out of the movie when it becomes solely about the relationship between Mea and Zyair.
