Plot: Detectives are thrust into a chilling hunt for “Mr. Shiny”-a sadistic serial killer from the past whose return marks the beginning of a new wave of grotesque, otherworldly crimes tied to a dark cosmic force.

Story: Strange Harvest starts when Detective Joe Kriby (Zizzo) recounts the investigation into the return of sadistic serial killer Mr Shiny. He worked with Detective Lexi Taylor (Apple) as they reviewed the case that defined their careers.
It follows the original killings and the sudden disappearance of the serial killer, until 2010, when they returned for a new spree. The detectives go through the different symbols behind each horrific murder.

The movie uses the documentary format to examine the horrific murders by a serial killer. It follows their case as they reveal each gruesome death as they search for answers before the killer strikes again.
Best Parts
The documentary format is a massive bonus for the movie; it adds an air of realism to the case. We know this because we see many real-life crime documentaries, and this follows those steps. Each reveal is more disturbing and chilling, which balances the line between real and fictional.
Worst Parts
This does push the limits of what people are willing to watch. It is very disturbing how the crimes are handled and examined, which is going to upset people.
Final Thoughts –Strange Harvest is a chilling, disturbing and uncomfortable movie.
