Verdict on Mauler
Recap
The movie follows five friends who hear about a dark web prize. They must survive a night in a murder house. However, the resident of the house isn’t going to let them make it out alive.
Best Parts
The murder house story and pure size of the resident are frightening without needing any form of disfiguration.
Worst Parts
The movie takes too long getting going, with far too much time spent between the friends arguing about whether to go through with it. One strike a victim takes is laughable at how easily they get up like nothing happened. It also struggles to create enough tension despite the situation the characters find themselves in.
Final Thoughts –Mauler fits a late-night horror 101.
