Story: Lolo and the Kid starts as we meet homeless Grampa (Torre) and his grandson (Aleta). They grab the attention of vulnerable wealthy people and complete an operation to steal from them. The pair have been running their operation for years and use the money to live in a hotel.

However, when Lolo starts realizing he is getting older and the Kid is going to need a home, he questions what they are doing. He starts trying to make a bigger decision, but it becomes difficult to teach the Kid to understand what is best for him.

Lolo and the Kid is a drama following an older man who commits a hustle with his grandson. They pretended to have nothing and trick families into thinking of adopting the kid, only to rob them. However, as the man gets older, he starts believing the kid needs a real home and a family who can treat him right.

This movie is a moving one and while there is humour in the bond between the two, it soon gets taken over by the serious situation occurring. It proves people only want what is right but might not go about it the right way. However, it is strange that a family can meet a child and consider adopting after one dinner. It shows how the con can trick the nicest people and despite committing a crime, the connection is so important.

Lolo and the Kid is available on Netflix now.

Final ThoughtsLolo and the Kid is a moving drama following an unlikely friendship.
