Thoughts on Dark Skies

ThoughtsDark Skies is a sci-fi horror movie that will see one family needing to figure out why they are getting visits from a mysterious figure at night, soon learning it is aliens, leading them to explore a way to save their family. The core of the story is coming together as a family to stay safe, from an unknown presence, while certain parts of what happen, could look like more criminal offences or abuse. When it comes to the horror in the film, the moments are very good and well built-up moments, even if they do end up becoming dream sequences for the most part, well blackout moments more than a dream. Keri Russell is great in the leading role, looking to fight to save her family. It is the ending of the movie that feels most disappointing, leaving us on a massive cliff hanger, that we have never returned to.

Final Thoughts Dark Skies is a well built-up horror that falls flat with the open ended ending.
