Verdict on Son of the Soil
Recap
The movie follows a former soldier returning to Lagos. He wants to know who killed his sister and discovers a wave of ruthless drug lords running the town. The soldier uses his connections and skills to get revenge on the people who murdered his sister.
Best Parts
The movie plays into the revenge story well. It does everything you would expect, and it blends a different culture and location. This helps show the chaotic nature of everything involved, with solid performance throughout. Elsewhere, this does a great thing by not holding anything back.
Worst Parts
We get a solid all-around action movie, but it doesn’t do enough to stand out from the bigger crowd of action movies. It is not a bad movie in anyway; it just doesn’t hit the best levels it could.
Where to Watch
