Scarlet Blue is a horror mystery following a woman who has turned to alternative therapy to help with her depression and schizophrenia. It takes her on a journey of self-discovery, where she learns more about herself and her sexuality. However, it also takes her to darker places, she isn’t ready to explore.

This movie explores the extreme lengths people search for therapy to cure mental health illnesses. It shows the mind can create a vibrate creation that offers many options to explore the world. This feels like a journey of unsettling nature, which takes off on an unusual journey. It relies heavily on the vibrant colours which take over most of the scenes, along with a mix of camera angles designed to jar us. There is a style used to bring this movie to life, that makes it stand out from others with the same concepts. The performances are fantastic with Amélie Daure & Anne-Sophie Charron shining in the leading roles.

Final ThoughtsScarlet Blue is vibrant, unsettling and mysterious.
