Plot: Darren Barrenman is an unwavering optimist and native Angeleno who spends his days looking after the pool of the Tahitian Tiki apartment block and fighting to make his hometown a better place to live.

Story: Poolman starts as we meet Darren Barrenman (Pine) an optimistic Angeleno. He spends his days looking after an apartment pool and trying to maintain the importance of the neighbourhood. However, his protest leads him down a criminal path.
June Del Rey (Wise) offers to help him find a calmer way to approach his desire to change. However, Darren’s life becomes complicated, and he loses his desire to continue the fight.
Verdict on Poolman
Poolman is a mystery comedy following a local pool man who becomes involved in trying to solve problems in his local area. However, he isn’t prepared for what he discovers and ends up getting caught up in.
This wacky comedy takes us down a strange sleuth movie. It has plenty of odd moments that have a mix of wacky adventures to just weird moments. This is a Chris Pine passion project which he commits to no doubt about. However, it isn’t going to be for everyone, as too much of it feels like a trippy adventure.
