Lesley Pick
Captain America – Captain America: The First Avenger (2011) The origin story of Captain America and how a man who was never good enough becomes the hero the world needed.
My Pick
Mace – Sunshine (2007) I could easily have gone with a comic book character because he has been in plenty but I have picked this one because Mace is one of the most natural characters in sci-fi film history. He starts off coming off a jerk but deep down all he wants to the complete the mission.
Simon’s Pick
Captain America – Captain America: The First Avenger (2011) The origin story of Captain America and how a man who was never good enough becomes the hero the world needed.

Johnny Storm/The Human Torch – Fantastic Four (2005) After returning from space Johnny has gained the power to turn himself into a human torch and becomes a hero for the world.
I really like him as Cap, but if you haven’t seen Puncture, see it. His performance is right up there with Snowpiercer. Those are my fave two.
Never saw Snowpiercer or Sunshine … yet, but I did like him in Losers and I think he’s doing a pretty good job with Capt. America.
He does make a good Captain, i see Losers getting a lot a love good job i found a picture for the logo
He was pretty good in The Losers although not really the star of it
he was good in that the bit in the lift is very funny
The finger guns was pretty cool too
yep slightly underrated film there
His performance in the loss of a tear drop diamond was amazing
i personally have never seen this one
I thought Chris Evans was perfect as Captain America.
Good choice, out of the 3 would you pick one as the best?
The only film from Evans that I’ve enjoyed was Snowpiercer. That said, I really, REALLY love Snowpiercer. That’s a strange but awesome film, and one of the best of the year. The graphic novel is also damn impressive, for the record.
i also loved snowpiercer, it has had such a messy release though not even sure if it has come out in the UK yet. i had Sunshine because i think it helped redefine the direction his career was going being his first almost serious role which wasn’t about his appearance
I’ll be honest, I’ve never even heard of Sunshine (yikes!).
Danny Boyle film, i guess i will challenge you to see this next year
damn a Boyle flick and I didn’t know it existed. That’s crazy. Apparently I was living in a cave when it came out lol
Enjoy when you get round to it, i think it bombed at the cinema but got great reviews
