Plot: Alana and Rabin, two friends who were kidnapped by a monster. With no other choice, they had to fight by any means necessary.

Story: Monster starts when two young friends Alana (Kirana) and Rabin (Hamonangan) are kidnapped by a stranger Jack (Abbad). They are taken to a remote home and separated, with Rabin locked in a room. However, Alana escapes her captivity and tries to find her friend.
Alana witnesses the horrors Jack inflicts on his previous victims while eluding capture around the massive house. However, Alana isn’t prepared for what is to come.
Verdict on Monster
Monster is a horror thriller following a young girl and her friend getting kidnapped. She gets free and tries to escape capture and rescue her friend. However, she must deal with a serial killer preparing their latest victim.
This movie is a tense experience with next to no dialogue. It uses the singular location to follow the girl around the home and the killer doing their routine. This keeps us on edge throughout the movie as each movement could see her captured. It keeps you on the edge of your seat from the heart pulsing opening sequence to the final moment. If you want to compare this to something more commonly known, it would be M Night Shyamalan’s ‘Split’ without the split personality killer. That is the kind of tension we are put through during the movie. The lead performance from Anantya Kirana is one of the best young performances of the year too.
