Story: Jeepers Creepers Reborn starts when Laine (Craven), Chase (Adams) and Sam (Freilich) head to a supernatural festival. Chase is a massive lover of the unexplained and the Creeper story is the latest one he wants to learn more about. Meanwhile, Laine being from a scientific background sees things differently.

Elsewhere, the Creeper (Benjamin) has risen again to start it’s 23-day hunt. However, Laine starts sensing him around and a deeper connection to what drives the action comes to light.

Recap

The movie follows a couple who attend a horror festival to learn more about the Creeper. However, once they are there, they learn of a much bigger history behind what drives the Creeper to feed.

Best Parts

This movie is a mixed bag really, on the positives it tries something new with the Creeper legacy. It blends the idea of modern YouTube supernatural hunters and breaks the fourth wall, with the idea that our characters know about the legacy and have had movies. The final good thing comes from the Creeper design still being fantastic.

Worst Parts

I mentioned I liked that we tried something new here, and that is true, it did need a new idea. However, the idea goes in a direction that doesn’t make that much sense. It doesn’t do enough to continue the fear selection process and even hints at that still being a thing before going in a completely different direction. There is also some really bad CGI blue screen for anything happening outside.

Final ThoughtsJeepers Creepers Reborn feels like the weakest in the franchise.
