Characters & Performances
Nell is the young woman who finds herself in the room. She has no communication with anyone about why she is there. Nell will try to be resourceful with what she has, until she finds a neighbour. She tries to figure out how similar situation.
Travis is the man in the room next door. We only really hearing him, with the mystery about whether he is also trapped or the captor. He listens to her advice, while informing Nell of his own room’s surroundings.
KateLynn E Newberry is the one that must carry this movie. She has nearly all the screen time, with her performance showing the uncertainty she is going through. She does everything well, engaging the audience to see what will happen next.
The story here follows a young woman who finds herself locked in a room. She has no way out, nothing to work with to try and escape. No message to why she is there, she is just trapped. The story will look to focus on the escape. This is all great to watch, nothing new, but entertaining to go along with.
The story will give us a surprise with the outcome, one that you won’t see coming. It is the building up to this moment that is what makes this movie so interesting. The uncertainty about the person in the room next door too. This will add to the mystery of what will happen to Nell.
Isolated is a mystery thriller, one that will give us plenty to think about. We don’t know how this is going to unfold, though we know the race to escape will become more intense. The room used will leave us feeling hopeless, with no messages, it is only a countdown, we must work with.
Final Thoughts – Isolated is a solid mystery thriller, constantly keeping us guessing.
