Story: How to Make a Werewolf starts as we meet Xen (Edwards) and his family who are part of a secret society. They have an enemy they have been at peace with for generations, but rumblings have started to stir up the past. Xen must prepare for threats to his family and his normal life.

The two sides prepare for a bigger battle. However, one has been staying further ahead of the game and has unleashed a weapon the others never expected.

How to Make a Werewolf brings the battle between werewolves and vampires to an Urban environment. It presents everyone as an everyday person who has a normal life, while holding a secret. This creates the build-up to a bigger war coming between the two sides.

The movie creates a more natural modern environment for the warring clans. A lot like how Underworld had different levels in the battle, we drop the futuristic concept to show us we are seeing normal people in combat. It holds back a lot of the transformations which works in continuing to show us a world where both sides live together. However, the movie is a little bit longer than it needs to be to get the same message across. It tends to try and bring a bit too much to the table.

Final ThoughtsHow to Make a Werewolf is a smart urban twist on the monster among us movie.
