It was the happiest surprise of the film: we weren’t expecting anything more than a cameo performance – and instead we get a hilariously funny and heartfelt one, nuanced and incendiary at the same time – he really nails it perfectly and is the perfect comic foil to Jeffrey Wright!
I haven’t actually seen American Fiction yet, it barely got a cinema release maybe one showing a week.
It will no doubt be streamable soon – Sterling is a “friend of the show” that my wife produces and pops in all the time…one of the good guys!
