Plot: A tyrannical landlady lords it over her tenants during an epidemic, pitting them against each other in a web of paranoia spun for deadly results.

Story: Hemet, or the Landlady Don’t Drink Tea starts as the world has seen the homeless attacking and eating people. Liz (Butler) runs a strict-ruled series of apartments where her tenets live in fear. Rosie (Weinberger), and others try to keep things together.
When Liz begins to evict tenets, Sheriff Hunting (Davison) investigates incidents. However, the comedic series of incidents leads to a lot of finger-pointing and Liz tries to keep the people under her control.
Verdict on Hemet, or the Landlady Don’t Drink Tea
Recap
The movie follows the events after an outbreak following a group living a life under a tyrannical landlady. She has been controlling their choices and now one of the residents prepares to fight back and give people a better life.
Best Parts
The movie keeps the idea of a cult B-movie-style film going strong. It has larger-than-life characters you would never expect to see in life and pushes most of its extreme sides.
Worst Parts
For me, there wasn’t enough on the horror side of the story. It is trying so hard to get laughs, the humour won’t hit for most people. If this isn’t the style of movie you enjoy, you won’t get on with this one in anyway.
Final Thoughts –Hemet, or the Landlady Don’t Drink Tea fit the B-Movie idea but struggles to get enough laughs.
