Plot: An underprivileged seamstress, haunted by her past, seeks love and acceptance in high society but is faced with the curse from her evil roots. Anna flees to America with her aunt at a young age, hoping for a bright future away from her turbulent past. Induced by her grandmother, Anna develops a passion in her craft as a seamstress.

Story: Heir of the Witch starts when we meet quiet seamstress Anna (Bell). She suffers from nightmares from her past, while finding herself mixing with the rich around the city. Anna has caught the eye of Chloe (Rashell) who uses Anna to make her latest dress.
When Anna draws the eye of Chloe’s husband Nicholas (Holtzmuller), her darker past starts to come to life. Anna finds her nightmares getting worse and she struggles to control them as her family history starts coming to haunt her.
Verdict on Heir of the Witch
Heir of the Witch is a horror thriller following a young woman that finds the family curse coming back to haunt her. She finds her quiet life turned upside down by temptation as her nightmares from her past increase.
This is a horror that dives into the idea of coming from a family that was branded a witch, generations before. It shows the increased burden placed on them in modern life. The story gets to play it out in a mix of soap opera drama and nightmares haunting the descendant. This gets to create good scares and ones that have a lasting scare factor in the nightmares experienced.
The movie has strong performances throughout the cast with writer, director and star Victoria U Bell’s performance shining through. If you want a nightmare fuelled story, you will get one here.
