You know how us film fans always want to recast a film, well today we play the role of producer and this script has turned up on our desk. The next job is to cast the film as if it the year is 2016, the rules are as simple you can’t use anyone who is in the original film however good or bad you think the film is. So without further ado let’s cast this movie. I have chosen just the first game and will be doing the addition characters in the future.
Film: Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune
Cast: Scott Eastwood, Gemma Arterton, Kevin Costner, Danny Huston, Oscar Isaac
Why I have picked this star:
Nathan Drake – Scott Eastwood Nathan is the Indiana Jones o the gaming world, he is wise cracking always getting himself into trouble while travelling the world to find his family’s legacy in his search for El Dorado. I could have gone Chris Pratt because it would be fair to say he would be the easy choice but I feel this need to be the franchise so a chance for Scott to break through. Scott will bring the look for the role and with the right mentor character we can see this be his own franchise much like the ones his father once did.
Elena Fisher – Gemma Arterton Elena is the reporter that helps fund Nathan’s exhibitions and needs to have great chemistry with him too. Gemma would work in this role because she is used to playing strong female characters which Elena is.
Victor Sullivan – Kevin Costner Victor or Sully is the mentor and partner of Nathan who have worked together for years, this character needs to come of wise but also just as troublemaking as Nathan. Kevin has worked on massive projects in his career and now he has accepted he is old persona when it comes to film. Kevin playing this role works because he would be the wiser character having been there himself he can use his experience to become Sullivan the seasoned veteran of the treasure hunting business.
Gabriel Roman – Danny Huston Roman is the villain of the piece that is trying to collect a debt owed to him by Sully, he will kill anyone who gets in his way also travelling with his army. Danny is always going to be the good choice for any bad guy and I see him being perfect for this role
Eddy Raja – Oscar Isaac Eddy is the leader of a group of pirates hired by Roman to get everything done for him before his own greed takes over. I have chosen Oscar because he is happy to be a supporting character and with this role he can have as much fun as he likes in this role.
How will this work on Film: Uncharted Drake’s Fortune is one of my favourite video games along with the two sequels I have played. I would love to see this become a franchise because they are pure fun which will make a great popcorn flick.
Will you be going to see this new version of the film?
Who would you rather see in this film?

A great list/post, I don’t think Gemma Arterton has the acting ability to be as good as the character was in the game (or at least I havn’t seen her do anything amazing). I agree with the rest of the list!
I’d say Edgar Wright for scripting and directing by the way, based off specifically his work on Tintin and Ant-Man
I love this concept, I casted the Far Cry 3 movie and The Wolf Among Us if anyone is interested 🙂
Sadly i have never played those two, after my sequel for Uncharted in a couple of weeks i have run out of games to do lol. i haven’t really look into picking directors or writer before but i would go with Stephen Sommers beecause of the Mummy films as thats what i see this game to film

Who would direct?
I would go with Stephen Sommers as i think this could be like the Mummy movies
J.J. Abrams maybe? Rian Johnson? Chad Stahelski?
good choices maybe Joss Whedon
Antoine Fuqua?
it all depends on the tone people want from the film, i would be happy with James Gunn style too
Steven Spielberg?

David Fincher?
