Vertigo Releasing presents Arcadian in cinemas 14 June

In a near future, normal life on Earth has been decimated. Paul (Nicolas Cage) and his two sons, Thomas and Joseph, have been living a half-life – tranquility by day and torment by night. Every night, after the sun sets, they face the unrelenting attacks of a mysterious and violent evil. One day, when Thomas doesn’t return home before sundown, Paul must leave the safety of their fortified farm to find him. A nightmarish battle ensues that forces the family to execute a desperate plan to survive.

Directed by Benjamin Brewer (Director, The Trust; Lead Visual Effects Designer, Everything Everywhere All At Once), terrifying post-apocalyptic thriller Arcadian stars Nicolas Cage (Mandy, The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent), Jaeden Martell (It & It: Chapter Two, Knives Out, Midnight Special), Maxwell Jenkins (Lost in Space, Reacher, Sense8) and Sadie Soverall (Saltburn, Little Bone Lodge and Netflix’s Fate: The Winx Saga).

Arcadian is in cinemas 14 June

Big Film fan and general entertainment fan

A great review. I’ve never been a big fan of Nicolas Cage, so I’m not sure whether this is a film that I will be in a rush to see. To put it mildly, Cage has had an uneven career filled with good movies but also extremely disappointing ones. That being said, he has proven that he can excel when given strong dramatic material to work with. For instance, Cage was extraordinary in the film “Pig”. He showcased an emotional side to his acting audiences had never seen before. But lately he has been accepting roles simply for the paycheck. So, I think I’ll skip his latest film for this reason.

Here’s why I adored Cage’s performance in “Pig”:
