Thoughts on Iceman
Characters – Kelab is the leader of a clan in Neolithic times, he is the hunter, the father and the guardian of the all, he has just welcomed in a new baby member, but when he goes hunting another clan takes everybody from him, leaving him with just a baby, that he simply can’t take care off, he finds a new clan for his baby as he goes in search for the clan that took everything from him. We meet the different people that Kelab meets on his search for revenge, nobody gets proper names, because this film has little dialogue.
Performances – Jurgen Vogel is the highlight of the acting, he is the only one that does get the main time on camera, he carries his character wonderfully through the film. the rest of the actors do a solid job without getting too much time to make an impact.
Story – The story follows one man that sees his clan wiped out by another that does in search for revenge on the clan that took his away from him. The story does keep everything very basic, we see how the man goes out for revenge taking out different people along the way even though we know his fate because he is the frozen man found in the ice and this is his story. with limited dialogue we find ourselves needing to focus on actions and emotions shown through the film which will see them needing to help us understand the characters actions through the film.
Settings – The settings involved are beautiful to see as we see how the mountain range makes everything unfold for Kelab.
Final Thoughts – This is a beautiful looking movie that tries to tell the story of the mysterious iceman found in the ice after over 5000 years.
Overall: Slow movie revenge film.
