Recap

The movie follows a teenage girl who is forced to move in with her estranged father. However, he lives in a strange resort where the owner conducts unusual ideas. She must uncover the truth before it is too late.

Best Parts

There are creepy moments as Gretchen adapts to the area. The performances add to this, leaving us to wonder what is happening in the world. There is a complex bigger story unfolding, which is disturbing and holds us back from the truth for a long time.

Worst Parts

The uncomfortable moments can be a bit too jarring in how they are shot. It does feel like things we have seen before, only not on the same levels.

Final ThoughtsCuckoo is an uncomfortable journey but nothing overly new.
