The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel hotel The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel is the expansionist dream of Sonny (Dev Patel), and it’s making more claims on his time than he has available, considering his imminent marriage to the love of his life, Sunaina (Tina Desai). Sonny has his eye on a promising property now that his first venture, The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel for the Elderly and Beautiful, has only a single remaining vacancy – posing a rooming predicament for fresh arrivals Guy (Richard Gere) and Lavinia (Tamsin Greig). Evelyn and Douglas (Judi Dench and Bill Nighy) have now joined the Jaipur workforce, and are wondering where their regular dates for Chilla pancakes will lead, while Norman and Carol (Ronald Pickup and Diana Hardcastle) are negotiating the tricky waters of an exclusive relationship, as Madge (Celia Imrie) juggles two eligible and very wealthy suitors. Perhaps the only one who may know the answers is newly installed co-manager of the hotel, Muriel (Maggie Smith), the keeper of everyone’s secrets. As the demands of a traditional Indian wedding threaten to engulf them all, an unexpected way forward presents itself.

Release Date:  27th February 2015

Stars:

  • Manuela Velasco (Rec, Rec 2) – Returning after the third chapter went in a different direction and she is here to end it all once and for all.
  • Javier Botet (Mama)

Director: – Jaume Balaguero (Rec, Rec 2) Returning after missing the third chapter of the franchise.

Highlight of the Trailer: Motorboat engine versus the infected.

What Looks Good? The gore looks good and takes the franchise back to the claustrophobic idea of being trapped in tight corridors.

What Looks Bad? It looks slightly similar to the first two just on a boat.

Summary: I think Rec 4 will be a solid horror film, it looks like it will have plenty of blood and gore which the franchise is all about. It looks like it will finish the idea and shows the first piece of common sense I have seen in a while in an infected film by taking the infected to sea/ocean to study where there are no people. This could be a highlight in horror this year but it could also be a bad addition.
