A true-crime writer finds a cache of 8mm “snuff” films that suggest the murder he is currently researching is the work of a serial killer whose career dates back to the 1960s.
Ethan Hawke takes the lead role as Ellison and spends the whole time being the focus of the hauntings. There are some basic jumps scares with my favourite scene involving Ellison walking around the hall and getting things moving around in the background. Nearly all the scene involve Ellison walking around the hall being scared.
Overall i felt a little bit let down I was expecting a much scary film but if you are scared by the occult you will like this and the cheap jumps will do there job perfectly.
