Plot: in this sequel Ash (Campbell) takes girlfriend Linda (Bixler) to the cabin in the woods, it is shot like this due to copyrighting not letting them use achieve footage. After Linda is taken by the evil forces in the first five minutes, Ash is left alone in the cabin to fight his own sanity. On another side of the woods daughter of the cabin owner is starting out on a mission to find her father’s research and along with her partner and a couple of locals head to the cabin.
Verdict: More blood and gore along with some great black comedy moments
Story: A top draw story showing how one man trapped in the woods could lose his mind. The story might have a few more laughs in than the original but it also has a much more fully rounded horror story. Using the book as a much more important part to the story increases the horror and supernatural value of the film. (9/10)
Actor Review: Bruce Campbell – Ash this time is the leader the dominance on screen, but he also shows a more vulnerable side when it comes to dealing with his screams while searching on his own. Bruce continues to grow the character and shows that his iconic role continues to become even bigger. Star Performance Award, Iconic Performance Award, Kick Ass Award (10/10)
Actor Review: Sarah Berry – Annie the educated daughter of the owner of the cabin, once she learns what is going on she knows how to stop it. Sarah shows some great parts adding some serious positions to a story that was just horror before. (8/10)
Actor Review: Dan Hicks – Local guy who helps get to the cabin, tries to be a tough guy but falls flat once he see the horror in the cabin. A bit of a stereotyped performance which never really stands toe to toe with Bruce’s performance. (7/10)
Actor Review: Kassie Wesley – Plans the girlfriend of the guide to the cabin, has one of the grossest moments happen to her. Good supporting role if only to add to the body count in the film, (8/10)
Director Review: Sam Raimi – Raimi shows that he can adapt to a slightly different genre by adding comedy to his serious horror. Just more steps to his greatness with this outing. (9/10)
Comedy: Some signs of good black comedy and if Ash had been left alone for longer we would have had more. (7/10)
Horror: good bloody gore soaked horror. (9/10)
Special Effects: More great special effects this time using more stop motion technology.(9/10)
Believability: A bit more over the top, but also has more educated character to maybe solve the problem. (6/10)

Settings: Like with the first set in the same cabin for great isolation creating a much scarier scenario. (10/10)

Chances of Sequel: Has one more sequel and the reboot
Suggestion: All horror fans need to watch and with this one they get a much more laid back take on the story but still using just as much blood and gore. (Horror Fans Watch)
Best Part: Ash trying to catch his hand after he cut it off.
Trivia: Stephen King talked a producer to make the sequel over dinner because he was such a fan of the original.
Overall: Classic Bloody Horror at its best
