Happy Gilmore meets Mean Girls in this modern spin on classic summer rom-coms. After the death of her parents, Ariana (Samantha Boscarino, Good Luck Charlie) is struggling to navigate the situation and decides to treat herself and get a seasonal membership at a swanky country club. But Ariana soon learns that life among the wealthy and golf-obsessed is a lot like being back in high school: cliques abound, mean girls everywhere, and only the richest kids get to call the shots. Will the country club change Ariana–or will it be the other way around? Diamond in the Rough also stars Caitlin Carver (The Fosters), David Koechner (Anchorman) and is directed by Jeannette Godoy (Disconnected) and written by Grace Church, Crystal Ferreiro (Diary of a Future President) and James Sommers.
