2016 Thank You
2016 has been another great year for Movie Reviews 101, we achieved our goal of daily film reviews with a mix of Blockbuster, indies, classics and Independence Day Resurgence. I have loved being able to see all the different movies even if I didn’t enjoy all of them.
Opinion Battles has another great year with a brand new Champion in Table 9 Mutant from Cinema Parrot Disco. We will be returning with a new selection of questions, you are also all welcome to come and join in too.
On the bigger front I started a podcast with Damien – Riley on Film, Kira – Film and TV 101 Becky – Film Music Central that is 30 episodes strong called Talking Stars Podcast which can be found on I-Tunes or Here
I hope this year will be even bigger and better with a brand new feature starting in February.
Thank you all for reading, commenting and just visiting and Happy New Year to you all.
I am ending the year with an open letter to everyone who has come across my site. I want to thank everyone who has read, liked and commented on any on my posts because this year I have managed to get over the 100,000 views. I have met some wonderful film fans that have opened up the world of a film conversation I just don’t get in my everyday life, which means a lot to me.
I would also like to thank everyone who took part in Opinion Battles and I am delighted that it is growing next year as it gives film fans from all over the world to voice their opinions on different films giving us all a chance to have an added conversation.
Back at the end of July I wrote a thank you post as I reached my 1500 post, in that post I set a few goals, one of which was to appear on a Podcast. I managed to achieve this by appearing on The LambCast as well as on The Vern’s Film Pastures, I am also going to be returning to both on them early in 2016. I do still have the desire to try and start my own podcast with my main two ideas being a basic chat on what we have been watching or Opinion Battles the podcast where we can get into a real debate about films.
I would like to thank all the publicist that have sent me screeners that have continued to show that lower budget films really are giving us brilliant films that need to be watched by all the fans of the genre.
I would like to thank Movie Rob for pushing me to try films outside my comfort zone with the weekly challenge.
Finally, I would like to thank everyone who has supported me through the years and I wish to continue making this site bigger and better.
· Turn Opinion Battles into a podcast
· Continue to meet and chat with movie fans from all over the world.
· Start making more video reviews
· Continue to improve my writing style
· Interview the stars/directors of the movies I am seeing
Thank You For Reading
Movie Reviews 101
Well where has the time gone? I remember starting writing as and when I could be bothered with my friend Aled from Sofawatch, but nearly two years ago I decided to take this serious. For nearly two years I have written a daily post that have gone over the times.
I would like to thank everyone who has read, like and commented on any posts I have written.
I would like to thank the publicist who have been given me a chance to watch their upcoming work because I have seen some real gems covering a full range of genres.
I would also like to thank Movie Rob for the weekly challenge we have with each other which has increased the range of films I have seen.
I would like to thank IPC for letting me take part in the Shitfest this year and fingers crossed I could do well with the final results.
Finally I would like to thank everyone who has taken part in the Opinion Battles
I do hope to carry on these and we will always be open for ore players, message email@example.com
My target for the next 500 posts will be to hopefully début on a podcast, hopefully continue to make new friends with movie lovers from all over the world.
If you are interested in joining in on any of my actor/actress focus weekends which I hold every weekend message us too.
Thank you all for the support and good luck to all of you with your own work.
